 PERSONAL STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES

Objective:

In the first hand we have personal strengths which are the abilities or some talents that you have and this makes you how you are.

In the second hand we have the personal weaknesses, which are features regarded as a disadvantage or faults. the weaknesses are the areas where the energy haven't focused on.

So, in this topic we are going to learn about our strengths and weaknesses, the good way to say to the others and the best way to response to this in the interviews.

Reflective:

Studying this topic, I learn that we don't have to be so honest with some of them because some are not good to say it for example in some interviews or with some people that we just met. We need to accept ours strengths and ours weaknesses to learn how to controle them and how to use them in the good way. don't be shy or uncomfortable with your strength or weakness, because all people have them and you must to find the way of use them advantageously.

Interpretative:

Since couple years ago I start to noticed about my strengths and weaknesses and I thought that the weaknesses were kind of bad and I also I thought that we need to saved them for ourself, but sometimes that ones are not to bad, it's just that we need to find how to use them, accept them and know how control them.

Decisional:

For example, one that I consider as my weaknesses is that I am very perfectionist, so I am using it in my work because I am working as a chef so we have to be super clean in the kitchen and also very organized because we are working with food.

SMART GOALS

Objective:

The objective of the SMART goals are to define some action or goal that you want defining a Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time based for that goal that you want to complete. But we also need to ask ourself some questions about that goal, for example if is realistic, if we can accomplish it, etc.

Reflective:

When we were studying the SMART goals, I learn that its good ''tool'' to define our goals for short, mid or long term, and also if we defined with this tool its so much better because we can define a specific time, steps, etc. to complete the goal and in the process of it we can work step by step to make it.

Interpretative:

Once you are working in your goals you can be realistic with your situation and if you can make that goal, as we mentioned before if we can accomplish it, because once you are writing down your goal, you define the ''dead line'' of that goal so you can start with the first step to complete it, looking for some strategics or plans.

Decisional:

Putting the SMART goals in practice you will find it very useful, I am already working in my SMART goals and I found many thinks that I didn't think about it to complete my goals, also defining the steps or the strategics are very useful to start now with them.

SPECIFIC: In this step you must ask the six W questions (who, what, where, when, which and why)

MEASURABLE: Establish criteria for measuring progress toward the attainment of each goal you set.

ATTAINABLE: acceptable and action-oriented.

REALISTIC: a goal must represent an objective toward which you are both willing and able to work.

TIMELY: A goal should be grounded within a time frame.

SKILLS ASSESSMENT

Objective:

In this topic we can find what makes us uniques, what are our skills, and also we can define them as transferrable skills such as soft or hard skills. The soft skills are mostly adjectives and the hard skills are usually verbs or nouns ending with 'ing'.

Reflective:

While I found my skills, I separate in that two categories and I learn that some of them we can learn and get new skills and the others we have it as a our personal skills which ones make us uniques.

Interpretative:

When you are thinking and defining your soft and hard skills you can take them as advantages and also offer them to the company that you are working or that job that you are applying.

Decisional:

Once that you recognize your skills you can put them in practice and take advantage of them using it in your daily life and in your work. this tool works to knows yourself a little bit deeper, know your abilities and also don't forget that you can learn other skills or improve yours.

SETTING PRIORITIES & DESIGNING PLAN

Objective:

In this topic we are going to use or need our knowledge from the goal setting section and development to create or design a plan. First you must work before in you goals to start with this topic.

Reflective:

Studying this topic we learn that it's very important to have or set a plan for everything, specially for that goals that you already have must if you want to achieve it, you will need to start working hard on it.

Setting priorities help us to be focus on what we want and don't skip any important step, after all this is important to design a plan and also have a plan B just in case, designing a plan with some objectives like for the mid-term of the dead line to see how we are progressing and to look back and see how are we going, if it is working or not, and if don't we can change something or change the plan.

Interpretative:

Fist-able you have already your goals you can start working with this topic, making a plan to achieve that goal.

Having an idea about the plan to follow, checking your progress each determinate time and see if we can improve something will be very useful for you and for your goals.

For example setting your priorities will be very important because you can stay focusing in your objectives, don't get distracted taking more time that you already set, but also you need to be very dedicated and be perseverant despite any distraction or any feeling of fear to fail. If you fail, you learn and the next time you will do it better or by other way.

Decisional:

Putting all the knowledge that we have into practice to be more organized in our lives and in our works. Is very important to write down all the goals that you want achieve to set a plan for it using your skills, different strategies, etc. it will make you get the result that you are expected, but the most important thing is to be focus, consistent, perseverant, jus be focused and don't give up.
